In the first eight months of 2026, the capital’s biotechnology company sold over one million packages of drugs for the treatment of oncological, autoimmune, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as diabetes. The enterprise is developing with the support of the Moscow Fund for Industry and Entrepreneurship Support (MFPIE). This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, the city provides comprehensive support to key industrial sectors. Thanks to this, enterprises are improving and expanding their own technological base. For example, one of the capital’s pharmaceutical manufacturers, by increasing capacities, was able to raise production by 30 percent this year and shipped over one million packages of medicines from January to August. Significant roles are played by the assistance from the MFPPiP and the investment credit program. They help reduce financial burdens and redirect freed-up funds towards production development,” said Maksim Liksutov.
In 2026, the company launched an experimental-industrial site for the biological synthesis of monoclonal antibodies and obtained a license for their production. Alongside infrastructure expansion, the plant is developing a research program. Since the beginning of the year, it has started collaborating with more than 10 new scientific groups from Russian universities and research institutes. One focus of the cooperation is the development of solutions based on RNA technologies.
“In 2026, thanks to the launch of new production facilities, we increased output. In biotechnology, the development of production requires significant long-term investments, so support tools help reduce the financial burden on the project and direct more resources directly to research and development,” noted Ilya Bardin-Denisov, CEO of Artsellence.
