On the Garden Ring, as well as on a number of streets in the city center and west, traffic is temporarily restricted on September 12. This is due to the Moscow Autumn Bike Festival, as well as the “Moscow” and “Russia” bike races.
On September 13, motorists will not be able to drive on Tsvetnoy Boulevard due to the Moscow Children’s Cycling Festival. Additionally, until September 13, access is closed in the parking bay at University Square near the intersection with Kosygin Street.
The main traffic restrictions are in effect on September 12. Until 19:00, traffic is closed on University Square from University Avenue to Kosygin Street in both directions.
As the cycling column passes, the Garden Ring will be closed in each direction, Kosygin Street from Vernadsky Avenue to Vorobyovy Highway, Vorobyovy Highway from Kosygin Street to Berezhkovskaya Embankment, Berezhkovskaya Embankment from Vorobyovy Highway to Taras Shevchenko Embankment, Taras Shevchenko Embankment near the Borodinsky Bridge, the exits from Borodinsky Bridge onto Taras Shevchenko Embankment and Berezhkovskaya Embankment, Bolshaya Dorogomilovskaya Street near Borodinsky Bridge and the Borodinsky Bridge itself, as well as Smolenskaya Street from Borodinsky Bridge to the Garden Ring.
From 11:00 to 19:00, Kosygin Street will be closed to traffic from Michurinsky Prospekt to house 20 when heading towards Leninsky Prospekt, as well as from house 20 to house 28, building 1 when heading towards Michurinsky Prospekt. From 11:10 to 19:00, it will be impossible to pass along Universitetsky Prospekt from Mendeleev Street to Lebedev Street.
Until 6:00 AM on September 13, one outer left lane is also closed to traffic, including the parking area on Universitetskaya Square from Universitetsky Prospekt to Kosygin Street in each direction.
Drivers are asked to note that until 23:59 on September 13, parking is prohibited in the parking pocket on University Square near the intersection with Kosygin Street and from University Avenue to Kosygin Street. In addition, on September 12, parking will be prohibited on all restricted sections until the conclusion of the events.
On September 13, from 08:00 to 19:00, closures will be in effect on Tsvetnoy Boulevard from the Garden Ring to Petrovsky Boulevard in both directions.
In addition, until September 14, traffic is restricted to one far left lane on the section of Tsvetnoy Boulevard from building 27/24 to building 1. On September 13, from 08:00 to 19:00, it will be prohibited to drive on the two far lanes on Petrovsky Boulevard near Trubnaya Square heading towards Petrovka Street.
From 00:01 on September 13 until the end of the event, parking will be prohibited on all sections of the road closures.
