Deals with debt securities on the secondary market of the Moscow Exchange in August 2026 were made by 761.4 thousand private investors (+21% compared to August 2025). Their share in the volume of bond trading amounted to 15.2%.

In August, private investors invested 151.6 billion rubles in bonds on the Moscow Exchange stock market. Of these, 89.8% were in corporate ruble-denominated bonds, and 10.2% were investments in ruble-denominated OFZ and regional debt securities.

The volume of bond placements in August amounted to 880.3 billion rubles, including one-day bonds totaling 252.8 billion rubles.

The volume of secondary bond trading in August amounted to 1.5 trillion rubles (+32.1% compared to August 2025). This includes OFZ trading volume at 708.2 trillion rubles (+23.9% compared to August 2025), and corporate bonds at 774.9 billion rubles (+42.6% compared to August 2025).

In the over-the-counter segment with a central counterparty in August 2026, the volume of transactions amounted to 180.1 billion rubles.

The debt market of the Moscow Exchange is a hub for raising funds for Russian companies, combining a developed infrastructure, reliability, and advanced bond trading technologies. Bonds traded on the Moscow Exchange have a circulation volume amounting to nearly one-third of GDP. The lineup of more than four thousand instruments issued by 500 issuers includes OFZs, corporate bonds, as well as complex debt instruments. Over 1.7 million private investors trade bonds on the Moscow Exchange. In 2025, the bond trading volume amounted to 42 trillion rubles, and the average daily transaction volume since the beginning of 2026 has exceeded 150 billion rubles.
