Dmitry Chernyshenko held the first meeting of the Organizing Committee of the International Tourism Forum “Travel!”-2027
The first meeting of the organizing committee of the International Tourism Forum “Travel!” was held in Moscow, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko. Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia and Executive Secretary of the forum’s organizing committee, and Dmitry Vakhrukov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, spoke about the results of the recently concluded 2026 forum and the key tasks for preparing for next year’s ITF “Travel!”.
“For the tourism industry, the International Forum ‘Travel!’ is a key public event. Year after year, the forum grows in the number of participants, exhibitors, foreign guests, and partners. The annual venue — VDNH — was not chosen by chance. It is the main tourist site of the Soviet Union, Russia, and the world, as well as a showcase of the country’s achievements in science, industry, culture, and technology. I thank all the regions, departments, and organizations for participating in the forum. When preparing the 2027 event program, it is important to consider the anniversaries to be celebrated by the ‘Golden Ring’ route, Moscow, Kamchatka, and also the Leningrad region,” said Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The Deputy Prime Minister asked ministries, departments, and organizations to consider the possibility of holding their events within the framework of the “Travel!” forum, to submit proposals for the business and festival programs, and also to start an invitation campaign, including for foreign partners and participants.
The Organizing Committee of the International Tourism Forum “Travel!” has approved the dates and venue for the event: the forum will take place from June 10 to June 14 at VDNH – one of Moscow’s key venues. The business program starts on June 10, and June 12 is designated as Youth Day. On this day, the tourism industry will join the celebration of Russia Day within the framework of the forum.
“The International Forum ‘Travel!’, being Russia’s flagship event in the field of tourism, will once again become a place to showcase the achievements of the tourism industry, promising directions for the development of domestic and international tourism. Every year, the forum addresses the current results of the state program ‘Tourism Development,’ approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation, and the national project ‘Tourism and Hospitality,’ planned through 2030. The forum annually demonstrates steady qualitative growth, an increase in the scale of the exhibition and festival events, as well as the number of participants: over the five days this year, about 510 thousand people visited the forum. The ‘Travel!’ forum has become a favorite spot traditionally visited by residents of Moscow and guests from all corners of our country,” noted Anton Kobyakov.
The main events of the MTF “Travel!” in 2027 will be the business program, exhibition, and festival displays at VDNH. In focus are the Year of Geography and the 60th anniversary of the Golden Ring: the RGO festival, anniversary agenda at regional booths, and local brand fairs are planned. The program will include interactive zones of children’s centers, a gastronomic exhibition, and stands of hospitality industry producers. The development of the forum’s ecosystem will continue with networked industry events, including the Pacific International Tourism Congress (September 23–26).
“More than 4,700 delegates from 85 subjects of the Russian Federation and 61 foreign countries participated in the business program of the forum this year. The forum demonstrated such representativeness for the first time in its entire history. The business program was structured around three strategic blocks – “Product,” “Promotion,” and “Infrastructure.” At the same time, we aimed to discuss not only strategic tasks but also specific tools that can already be applied today by regions and businesses,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Vakhrukov.
The organizing committee continues its active work – currently an in-depth preparation of all components of the forum is underway: from the business agenda to festival activities. Next year’s MTF “Travel!” promises to become a significant industry event and to establish important benchmarks for the further development of the tourism sector. The forum traditionally serves as the main platform for dialogue between representatives of authorities, business, and travelers, while the business, exhibition, and festival parts of the program function as a unified mechanism.
