A themed train to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the TV channel “Moscow 24” was launched in the city’s metro. The branded train “Moscow-2020” will run along The Large Circle Line (BCL) six months. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maksim Liksutov.
The exhibition will explain how modern television is organized and the path information takes — from an event in the city to the news going on air.
“By the order of Sergey Sobyanin, we continue to launch thematic trains in the metro. Together with the TV channel ‘Moscow 24,’ we developed the design of the branded train ‘Moscow-2020.’ It will run on the BCL for six months. Information on more than 40 television terms was placed in eight cars. This is the first thematic train in 2026, dedicated to mass media. We have been cooperating with the TV channel ‘Moscow 24’ since its very first day of operation. We thank our colleagues for their extensive coverage of the activities of the capital’s transport,” said Maksim Liksutov.
In eight train cars, passengers will be able to familiarize themselves with professional terms and equipment, turning their trip into a journey behind the scenes of television broadcasting. For example, they will learn what “signal,” “offscreen,” and “lapel mic” mean, why the filming crew needs a “boom microphone,” and also why you don’t necessarily have to go fishing with a “fisherman’s pole.”
The concise graphics are executed in the signature colors of the Moscow 24 TV channel. Thanks to the unified concept, the viewer can follow the entire journey of the news — from the event in the city and the work of the filming crew to the preparation of the material and its broadcast.
The TV channel “Moscow 24” was founded in 2011 on the initiative of Sergey Sobyanin. This year it celebrates its 15th anniversary. According to a survey by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, “Moscow 24” leads the popular rating of the most recognizable TV channels covering the life of the capital.
