In the media center of the Zaryadye Park, subordinate to the capital Department of Culture, on September 18 a unique exhibition “The Innovator’s Workshop. Konstantin Khudyakov” will open. The exposition is dedicated to the memory and creative heritage of Konstantin Khudyakov, a visionary artist, the founder of digital art in Russia.
The exhibition will showcase works from the main artistic and technological directions in which the master worked. Additionally, the premiere of a project he worked on until his last days will take place here. The exhibition unites more than 40 works demonstrating the evolution of his creative search. Visitors will see paintings, unique stereo light panels, digital paintings, video art, and virtual worlds. A special place will be occupied by the reconstruction of elements of the artist’s workshop.
The project “Innovator’s Workshop. Konstantin Khudyakov” emphasizes the continuity of the artistic process: alongside the master’s works, the exhibition features pieces by his followers and students. This serves as evidence that the artist’s ideas continue to evolve, shaping a new generation of creators working at the intersection of art and technology. Visitors will be able to journey from contemplation to immersion in the philosophy of creation that Konstantin Khudyakov developed throughout his life.
Konstantin Khudyakov (1945–2026) entered the history of art as an author who erased the boundaries between classical painting and virtual reality. The core of the exhibition will be the immersive project “Eye of the Angel” with an integrated environment capture system. This work will be presented in full for the first time. It embodies the artist’s dream of creating living art capable of responding to a person.
The exhibition will be open until November 8. Entry is by ticket, which can be purchased through the service “Mosbilet”.
