Thanks to convenient integration with them and minimal train intervals, the MCC has effectively become a new metro line.
“ The ground metro connected residential areas with business centers, the new Vostochny station, shortened the route to parks and stadiums. It improved transport accessibility in 34 districts of Moscow, where more than three million people live,” added the Mayor of Moscow.

Every day, 600 thousand residents of the capital travel on the Moscow Central Circle. Over 10 years, more than 1.4 billion trips have been made.
The format of the MCC stations and their technical equipment became a true innovation in the Russian railway industry and established a new standard of passenger service. They are urban stations where everything is meticulously designed for maximum comfort.
Lastochka trains run on the Moscow Central Circle with a four-minute interval during peak hours, and they include quiet cars. In addition, the trains have toilets, bicycle spaces, and areas for baby strollers. The cars are equipped with climate control systems.
All crossings over the tracks have become safe — either underground or above ground.
Thanks to the MCC, the social and economic infrastructure of formerly abandoned areas began to develop. Housing, business centers, parks, and social facilities are being built near the above-ground metro stations. In addition, the Moscow Central Circle became a prototype for a large-scale project — the Moscow Central Diameters. All this shows that the MCC is not just transportation, but a new standard for urban transit.
