As part of the construction of the metro stations “Zvenigorodskaya”, “Narodnoe Opolchenie” and “General Karbyshev Boulevard”, specialists connected about 45 thousand units of engineering equipment, including water supply, heating, ventilation and fire safety systems. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Urban Policy and Construction. Vladimir Efimov.
“We have launched yet another, the 17th line of the Moscow Metro. An important feature of the first opened section of the new radius was the integration of the ‘Delovoy Tsentr’ and ‘Shelepikha’ stations, which previously operated as part of Big Circle Line: specialists carried out extensive work, including integrating engineering networks and connecting equipment to the automatic metro control system. Concurrently, work on building new stations was underway. For their safe and technically proper operation, various engineering systems are also necessary, which include power supply, lighting, ventilation, and climate control. Safety is ensured by a video surveillance system, as well as inspection and other equipment. In addition, electronic management and automation systems are being implemented. In total, nearly 45,000 pieces of Russian-made equipment have been connected at the three new stations of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line — “Zvenigorodskaya,” “Narodnoe Opolchenie,” and “General Karbyshev Boulevard,” — Vladimir Efimov said.
To ensure the operation of the station complexes, more than 18 kilometers of air ducts and about 71 kilometers of pipelines were installed, excluding external networks, as well as over two thousand kilometers of cables were laid.
“Before the opening of the first section of the Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya line, specialists from the Moscow Metro conducted a comprehensive diagnostics of the entire infrastructure. It was carried out using modern equipment, including a mobile diagnostic complex, which evaluates the condition of the tracks and train movement support systems in real time with high accuracy. Additionally, using a clearance car and track measuring equipment, the compliance of the infrastructure with established requirements was checked. The line features the most modern Russian-made trains ‘Moscow-2026’. The launch of the section has improved transport services for more than 550 thousand residents of five districts of Moscow. We expect that daily there will be over 90 thousand trips through the new stations,” noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
Russian President Vladimir Putin and Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin opened Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line on City Day. The section with five stations was opened: these are “Delovoy Tsentr,” “Shelepikha,” “Zvenigorodskaya,” “Narodnoe Opolchenie,” and “General Karbyshev Boulevard.”
The Rublyovo-Arkhangelskaya metro line will stretch northwest of the capital from the Moscow International Business Center “Moscow-City” to Rublyovo-Arkhangelskoye beyond the Moscow Ring Road, and in the future it will be extended to the Moscow suburb of Krasnogorsk. The length of the new radius will exceed 28 kilometers, and it will include 12 stations with transfers to Moscow Central Circle, Solntsevskaya, Filevskaya, Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya, and the Large Circle metro lines.
