On September 12, as part of the “Moscow — Region” project, new bus routes No. 1169 and 1199 will start operating. They will connect the capital with the “NIIOKh” stop and Troitskaya Street in the city of Mytishchi. This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“On the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, together with the Government of the Moscow Region, we are developing a network of suburban routes between the capital and the nearest Moscow suburbs. Within the framework of the “Moscow — Region” project, we continue to expand the route network in Mytishchi. Fourteen modern large-class buses will operate on the line here. They will begin running to the Medvedkovo metro station. Our employees will be on duty in each bus and at major stops. Specialists will answer questions about routes as well as changes in the ticketing system,” noted Maksim Liksutov.
Passengers will be transported by new large-class buses NefAZ 5299-40-52. They were acquired as part of a major purchase of Russian-made buses of various capacity classes. The vehicles are equipped to high standards of Moscow transport for comfortable long trips. Among the advantages are 31 seats, adaptive cabin lighting, a climate control system, special places and equipment for passengers with limited mobility.
The buses are equipped for carrying bicycles and baby strollers. All vehicles have low floors and wide boarding areas. They feature softer seats with seat belts. Routes No. 1169 and 1199 are zonal: the fare depends on the distance, so the card must be tapped both when boarding and when exiting the bus. For the trip from Medvedkovo metro station to the NIIKH stop and Troitskaya Street in Mytishchi, the fare using the Troika card will be from 71 to 100 rubles, while using a bank card it will be from 76 to 105 rubles. Boarding and alighting passengers is carried out through all doors.
As with other routes of the “Moscow—Region” project, unlimited “Unified” passes for the “Suburban” zone will be available here for 30, 90, or 365 days. With them, trips are up to 60 percent cheaper per year, and it is also possible to transfer free of charge to all city transport in the capital. Unlimited “Unified” passes for the “Suburban” zone for 30 and 90 days are available for students via the Moscow resident card.
Preferential categories of citizens will be able to use free travel with the Muscovite and Moscow Region resident cards, similar to the city’s urban routes. In addition, free travel on all adjacent Moscow routes (between the city and the region) is provided to preferential categories of citizens of the Moscow Region, as well as to persons under 60 entitled to free travel on regional routes. If the social card of a Moscow Region resident does not work on the bus, it is necessary to contact the public services center in the Moscow Region for recoding.
Discounts for transfers on the metro and other routes when paying for single trips with the “Troyka” card using the “Wallet” tariff and a bank card are not provided. For more cost-effective trips and transfers to other transport, passengers are advised to use the payment methods listed above. City residents should also remember that travel is not available with the “Strelka” card.
By agreement between the governments of Moscow and the Moscow Region, more than 50 active suburban routes on the western, northwestern, northern, and northeastern directions are planned to be integrated into the Moscow transport system in 2026. More than half of them have already been launched. Overall, it is planned to include at least one-third of the currently active suburban surface transport routes into the Moscow transport system.
