Hohhot, September 8 /Xinhua/ — In the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (Northern China), 5 people died after a truck driver lost control of the braking system during testing, resulting in a collision with a minivan.
Local authorities reported on Tuesday that the tragedy occurred at a test site in Alashan Zuoqi County on Monday at around 7:00 PM, when a truck undergoing uphill testing rolled backward due to brake failure and collided with a minivan that was following it to collect test data.
As of 11:00 PM on Monday, five people in the minivan died as a result of the incident. Further investigation of the incident is currently underway. -0-
