Xiamen, September 7 /Xinhua/ — On Monday, Vice Chairman of the PRC Han Zheng held separate meetings with the Deputy Prime Ministers of Bulgaria, Aleksandar Pulev, Cambodia, Sun Chanthol, and Serbia, Adriana Mesarovic, who are in the city of Xiamen (Fujian Province, East China) to participate in the 26th China International Fair for Trade in Services.

During the meeting with A. Pulev, Han Zheng stated that under the strategic guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the China-Bulgaria strategic partnership relationship has maintained healthy and stable development in recent years, and cooperation in areas such as agriculture, science, and technology brings substantial results and tangible benefits to the peoples of both countries.

The Vice Chairman of the PRC expressed China’s readiness to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries with Bulgaria, to expand the scale of bilateral trade, strengthen investment synergy, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote the continuous further development of China-Bulgaria relations. He also expressed hope that Bulgaria will actively play a constructive role in facilitating the healthy and stable development of trade and economic relations between China and the EU.

A. Pulev, who is also the Minister of Economy, Investments and Industry of Bulgaria, in turn stated that Bulgaria attaches great importance to relations with China. He noted that the Bulgarian side is ready to study and adopt China’s development experience, strengthen practical cooperation in various fields, and also welcomes Chinese enterprises wishing to invest and do business in Bulgaria.

During the meeting with Sun Chanthol, Han Zheng pointed out that China is ready to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries with Cambodia, fully utilize the role of the China-Cambodia Intergovernmental Coordination Committee, continue deepening practical cooperation in various fields, promote the integration of trade and investment, and advance the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Soun Chanto, who is also the first deputy chairman of the Cambodia Development Council, noted that Cambodia and China share a deep friendship; the parties always trust each other and provide mutual support. He confirmed Cambodia’s firm commitment to the One China principle and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation with the PRC in areas such as economy and trade, investment, tourism, and combating cyber fraud, as well as actively promoting cooperation within the framework of the “Belt and Road” initiative, bringing benefits to the peoples of both countries.

During the meeting with A. Mesarovich, Han Zheng emphasized that under the strategic leadership of the heads of the two states, China-Serbia relations have achieved breakthrough development in recent years. According to the Vice Premier of the PRC, China is ready to jointly with Serbia implement the important consensus reached by the heads of the two states, continuously deepen political mutual trust, effectively utilize the advantageous mechanisms of the bilateral free trade agreement, deepen cooperation in areas such as economy and trade, investment, infrastructure, and emerging industries, as well as encourage Chinese enterprises to invest and do business in Serbia.

A. Mesarovic, who is also the Minister of Economy of Serbia, on her part stated that Serbia values the mutual trust at the highest level between the two countries and reaffirms its commitment to the One China principle. She expressed gratitude to the Chinese side for the great support of Serbia’s national development and stated that the Serbian side is ready to strengthen the alignment of development strategies with China, continuously deepen cooperation in various fields, and bring benefits to the peoples of both countries. –0–
