A permanent multilateral automobile cargo and passenger border crossing point, Hasan, will open in Primorsky Krai, located on the border with North Korea. The order for this has been signed.
The checkpoint’s throughput will be 300 vehicles per day. For now, only cargo transport will be allowed through the border crossing. It will operate at full capacity by the end of 2026.
The order was prepared within the framework of the current law on the state border of Russia, according to which the opening of checkpoints before the completion of the entire complex of works for their arrangement is permitted based on a Government act.
On September 7, a ceremony marking the completion of the construction of the automobile bridge over the Tumannaya River took place on the Russian-Korean border in Primorsky Krai. The Chairman of the Government, Mikhail Mishustin, participated in the event from the Russian side. He noted that, in addition to the bridge on the Russian-Korean border, a border crossing point was built within record time.
“It is designed considering the anticipated significant growth in freight and passenger transportation,” noted Mikhail Mishustin.
According to him, the expansion of transport border infrastructure will give a powerful impetus to the further development of trade-economic, scientific-technological, and cultural cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
