On September 16, the Moscow Guarantee Fund will hold a webinar dedicated to the opportunities of factoring and its practical application in small business. The event is titled “Factoring for Small Business: Myths and Reality. Breaking Stereotypes and Opening New Horizons.” Participants will learn how this financial tool works, in which situations it can be useful for a company, and what features should be considered when using it.
Factoring allows entrepreneurs to receive funds for delivered goods or services rendered without waiting for payment from the counterparty. This gives the business the opportunity to maintain working capital, settle accounts with suppliers, and not postpone work on new orders while waiting for payments to be received. At the same time, the choice of such a tool depends on the specifics of the company’s activities and the particular financial task.
Three myths about factoring
The webinar program is based on three common myths about factoring. The first is related to the complexity of the paperwork: the webinar will explain how the process of obtaining factoring financing is conducted online today and what actions are required from the entrepreneur. The second myth concerns the cost of the instrument: participants will be explained what factors make up the expenses for factoring and what business advantages can compensate for them.
Another myth is related to the fact that factoring is only suitable for companies working with large customers. The expert will explain why the determining factor is not the size of the counterparty, but the very work with buyers under deferred payment terms.
Factoring can be used both when cooperating with the country’s largest companies and when working with small partners.
The theoretical part will be supplemented by practical cases. Through concrete examples, participants will see how factoring is applied in real business situations and what challenges companies solve with its help.
The webinar will take place from 11:00 to 12:30 online. Prior registration is required to participate registration on the portal mbm.mos.ru.
