Beijing, September 4 /Xinhua/ — China safeguards the legal rights of foreign nationals suspected of criminal activities within Chinese territory. This was stated on Friday by the official spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, Geng Shuang.
Go Jiakun made a corresponding statement at a regular briefing for journalists in response to a request to comment on the message from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, according to which 52 Singaporeans were arrested in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region /South China/ after law enforcement conducted an operation to suppress activities allegedly related to financial pyramids.
