Comprehensive renovation of passenger infrastructure is underway at 10 stations of the Yaroslavskoye and Paveletskoye directions of the Moscow Railway. The capital’s Department of Transportation together with JSC “Central PPK” brings the stations up to the standards of Moscow transport. For each of them, a unique design and color scheme have been developed. At the same time, after the completion of the renovation, all stations will comply with a unified concept.
The renovation is being carried out at six stations of the Paveletsky direction: Biryulyovo-Tovarnaya, Varshavskaya, Nagatinskaya, Tulskaya, Derbenevskaya, and Chertanovo, as well as at four stations of the Yaroslavsky direction: Yauza, Losinoostrovskaya, Lose, and Malenkovskaya.

At the stations, platforms are being repaired: foundation blocks and covering slabs are being replaced, and new surfacing is being laid. Canopies with built-in lighting are being installed over the platforms, which will make the stations brighter and more comfortable during nighttime. Currently, canopy installation work is underway on the platforms of Malenkovskaya, Biryulyovo-Tovarnaya, Chertanovo, and Varshavskaya stations. The total area of the canopies will exceed 17,000 square meters.
In addition, modern ticket and turnstile pavilions will be equipped at the stations, new navigation and shelters based on the ‘dry feet’ principle will be installed, which will ensure convenient transfers between rail and urban ground transport.
Together with urban infrastructure complex They will also carry out the improvement of adjacent areas and the development of the street and road network. This will enhance pedestrian accessibility to the stations and organize more convenient access for passengers by surface city transport.
Work is being carried out simultaneously at all 10 stations without stopping train traffic. Temporary infrastructure has been organized for passengers during the repair period.

The readiness is on average already 30 percent. Ahead are the works for installing video surveillance systems for boarding and alighting passengers, replacing equipment in the turnstile pavilions, installing a unified navigation system, and comprehensive landscaping of the adjacent areas,” said Vladimir Bulak, the first deputy general director of the Central Suburban Passenger Company.
