Washington, April 12 /Xin Hua/ — American military personnel will begin implementing a blockade of “all sea vessels heading to ports of Iran and leaving from them,” on Monday at 10:00 Eastern Time. This was stated in a declaration by the U.S. Central Command, published on Sunday.

According to a statement published on the social network X, the blockade, in accordance with the decree of U.S. President Donald Trump, will be applied “impartially” to the ships of all countries sailing to Iranian ports and coastal areas or sailing from them, including all Iranian ports in the Persian and Oman Gulfs.

The US Central Command “will not obstruct the freedom of navigation for vessels transiting through the Strait of Hormuz to and from Iranian ports,” the statement adds.

This statement appeared a few hours after a similar post by D. Trump on Truth Social.

In an interview with Fox News, D. Trump stated that the USA and allied countries will send trawlers to the strait to neutralize naval mines and ensure the safety of shipping routes.

After D. Trump’s statement about the naval blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the command of the Iranian Navy warned on Sunday that any “wrong step” in the Strait of Hormuz would lure its enemies into “deadly whirlpools.” –0–
