MAOU “Domodedovo Educational Complex ‘Orbita'” is a large educational complex that includes 4 schools (2,999 students) and 9 kindergartens (1,441 children).

Today, one of the buildings of the complex, built in 1965 and with an area of more than 6.5 thousand square meters, opened after a major renovation. During the renovation, carried out with the involvement of federal funding, the main structural elements, premises, and engineering infrastructure were completely upgraded. The old finishes and engineering systems were dismantled, and the electrical supply, water supply, drainage, heating, ventilation, and low-current systems were replaced. The roof was repaired, window and door units were replaced, and a complete interior finish was done in classrooms, administrative, and auxiliary rooms. The building’s equipment was also updated – new furniture, educational, and technological equipment were purchased.

The school has 880 children enrolled. All classes are held in the first shift. For the youngest children, 3 first-grade classes have been opened (75 students). In one of these classes, children with autism spectrum disorders will study under a special (adapted) program.

Two tenth-grade classes (52 students) have been formed for senior students. The students were offered a choice of one of the following tracks: technical (IT and engineering) or economic. As part of the technological profile, a special “space” class was created.

The teaching staff of the complex includes 137 teachers. There are 9 young specialists in the team, and 14 school graduates work here, including the director. This confirms the continuity of generations and the preservation of traditions. After the major renovation, 57 teachers work in the building. Of them, 45 people (79%) have the highest or first qualification category.

The educational complex implements projects such as the “Ministry of Education of Russia School,” “Mathematics Classes of the Moscow Region,” “Digital Classes of the Moscow Region,” and “Preschool: Kindergarten Standard.” Pre-professional engineering and entrepreneurial classes are in operation.

As part of the implementation of the regional project “Mathematics Classes of the Moscow Region,” four mathematics classes will operate at the school: 1st, 5th, 6th, and 8th, and in total, nine such classes have been opened in the complex, staffed by teachers with high and advanced levels of competence.

A special focus is on engineering and space education. The space class is implemented in cooperation with the state corporation “Roscosmos.” Engineering classes operate in collaboration with the National Research University “MPEI” and the municipal unitary enterprise “Teploset,” with research projects, career guidance activities, and the possibility of targeted admission to the National Research University “MPEI” planned.

In the 2025/2026 academic year, the students of the complex became:

— laureates of the International Scientific and Technological Projects Competition “Grand Challenges” in the field of “Modern Energy”;

— winners of the Olympiad “Fundamentals of Engineering Graphics and Drawing”;

— winners of the Ecological Fair of the Moscow Region with the project “Floating modular system for electricity generation and storage”;

— finalists of the National Technological Olympiad in the field of “Aerospace Systems”;

— winners and prizewinners of the municipal stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in computer science and ecology;

— semifinalists of the All-Russian competition “Big Change”;

— winners and prize-winners of the digital portfolio competition “Talent NTO” in the fields of “Engineering” and “Computer Science”.

The complex actively develops the Olympiad and project movement: over the past two years, 69 students have become winners and prize-winners of the regional stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad, and there are winners and prize-winners of Olympiads and the “Big Challenges” contest. 60% of graduates enroll in budget-funded places at the country’s leading universities.
