Issuing student IDs to participants of the Special Military Operation, discussing new projects, and holding a sports competition – GUU, the A.I. Meshcheryakov Family Center, and the Christian Mercy charity foundation prepared for the new academic year.
On August 29, at the A.I. Meshcheryakov Family Center, Maria Karelina, Vice-Rector of GUU, solemnly handed over grade books and student IDs to six participants of the special military operation who enrolled at GUU. Our university considers supporting the defenders of the country a top priority and is glad to welcome new outstanding students within its walls.
The Director of the Family Center, Sergey Zakharov, and the Head of Academic Affairs, Ivan Kapitonov, conducted a tour for guests at the National Center for Rehabilitation and Support of SVO Participants. They introduced adaptation and training programs, including those conducted by GUU, aimed at social adaptation, expanding employment prospects through vocational training, and mastering new skills.
Advisor to the Director of Rosfinmonitoring, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Christian Mercy charitable foundation Oleg Shabunevich noted the high relevance and practical significance of the training.
In addition, the meeting planned to hold a sports event in September among the Center’s wards, students of the State University of Management, and Vladimir State University named after A.G. and N.G. Stoletovs.
It should be reminded that the State University of Management (SUM) implements special professional training programs and additional professional education programs for participants and veterans of the Special Military Operation (SMO). In April of this year, our university and the A.I. Meshcheryakov Family Center signed a cooperation agreement and since then have held a series of educational events for the center’s wards, including conducting the first pilot course “Basics of Prompt Engineering.” And in July of this year, SUM and the Christian Mercy Foundation discussed the creation of new training programs for participants and veterans of the SMO.
