More than 60 events for Knowledge Day will be held in the city parks of Moscow, managed by the capital Department of Culture. Guests can look forward to festive concerts, creative workshops, performances, science shows, sports relays, and other activities for children and parents. The events will take place as part of the project “Summer in Moscow”.
A celebration for the whole family
One of the most packed programs for September 1 has been prepared in Lianozovsky Park. On the central square from 12:00 to 19:00 there will be a celebration called “The Territory of Happy Childhood.” For guests, a themed photo zone, art workshops, a playroom with board and yard games, master classes on making bookmarks and working with 3D pens will be organized. Young visitors will be able to take part in an animation program and get school-themed face painting.
At 2:00 PM, an interactive lesson “Safety with Excellence” will begin. Invited employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations will talk about fire safety and behavior on the water.
From 14:30 to 17:00, guests are invited to meet children’s writer Valentin Postnikov and to an interactive play. At 15:30, a book discussion with fairy tale readings outdoors and a workshop on creating your own notebook will begin.
Parents will be able to consult with a speech therapist and psychologist for free, as well as learn more about financial literacy. In addition, there will be demonstration boxing matches in the park.
A sports relay “Dad, Mom, Me — a Sports Family” has been prepared for families. It will start at 16:30. Participants will be offered to carry ping-pong balls on spoons, run in large sacks, dribble a basketball together, and perform other tasks.
At 5:30 PM, guests will attend the science show “Physics Without Boredom.” Visitors will be shown safe experiments with dry ice.
The program will conclude with a concert featuring children’s vocal and dance groups and a collective flash mob. Admission to all events is free.
In the recreation area “Terletskaya Oak Grove” On August 31 from 11:00 to 14:00, a creative workshop will take place. In the “Lecture Hall” pavilion, participants will create themed postcards using various decorative elements and unusual creative techniques. Admission is free.
Performances, quests, and scientific programs
In the park “Sokolniki” On September 1, festive events were prepared in the central walking area. At 3:00 PM, a children’s animation program will begin on the Rotunda stage, and at 5:00 PM — a science show. Entrance is free.
In the central part Izmailovsky Park On September 1, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM, there will be a family program. From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, guests can watch a soap bubble show and magic tricks, and at 4:00 PM — the musical play “If I Were an Adult” based on stories by Viktor Dragunsky. In in the N.N. Pryamikov children’s park On September 1 at 16:00, the interactive program “Workshop of Knowledge” will begin. Children will be able to solve puzzles and assemble jigsaws. From 16:00 to 16:45, there will be a master class “Backpack of Knowledge,” where participants will make a paper backpack.
From 16:45 to 17:30, the relay “Sports Break” will take place with contests and team tasks. The program will conclude with the dance marathon “Learn. Dance. Dream!” featuring battles and interactive activities. Admission is free.
In Vorontsovo estate On September 1, from 16:00 to 18:00, everyone will be able to have their hearing checked before the start of the school year. Specialists will conduct diagnostics using the hardware-software complex “Surdoscope.” Admission is free.
At the branch of Ded Moroz’s estate in the landscape park Mitino On August 31 at 16:00, the concert program for Knowledge Day will begin. Children’s creative groups from the Northwestern Administrative District will perform for the guests. Admission is free.
Music and Creativity
On September 1 at 14:00, an interactive musical performance for children and parents will begin in the pavilions of three forest libraries located in the parks “Khodynskoye Pole”, 50th Anniversary of October, and the Vorontsovo estate.
The string quartet will perform works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Johann Sebastian Bach, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, and other composers. The program will also include musical riddles, a short conducting lesson, and an introduction to various instruments. Admission is free.
“Summer in Moscow” — the main event of the season, which has already become a good tradition and an integral part of the life of the capital.
