Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held working meetings with the governors of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, Yevgeny Balitsky and Vladimir Saldo.
The Deputy Prime Minister discussed with the head of the Zaporizhzhia region the further measures that need to be taken for the development of the region, considering the difficult situation.
“It is important to pay special attention to the preservation, restoration, and reliability of the energy complex. The operation of housing and communal services facilities and industry depends on this. I would like to note that under conditions of constant danger, repair crews of specialists work around the clock, keeping the energy system operational. More than 1,800 apartment buildings and social facilities, as well as nearly 2,800 km of engineering networks, have been prepared for the autumn-winter period. An important issue is ensuring the region’s fuel supply. Evgeny Vitalievich reported that daily interaction with the federal center and suppliers allows for the gradual replenishment of its reserves. It is currently being distributed with certain restrictions, but this is temporary. Communal and emergency services are fully supplied with fuel. We also separately discussed the implementation of additional measures to protect routes and bridges, which are deliberately subjected to attacks. This issue is under constant government control. Despite objective difficulties, the region continues to implement the socio-economic development program, and work on the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life’ is ongoing.”In certain sectoral programs, such as the comprehensive development and modernization of housing and communal services, the planned activities are also being carried out. Major repairs of apartment buildings are underway, relocation from emergency housing stock is taking place, and modernization of main facilities, filtration stations, and engineering networks is being implemented,” said Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.
Following the meeting with the governor of the Kherson region, the deputy prime minister noted that the regional team manages to maintain development momentum despite the ongoing tense operational situation, which imposes certain difficulties.
“Vladimir Vasilievich raised the important issue of ensuring communication between municipalities. We will look for ways to solve this problem. Nevertheless, the region maintains positive progress in implementing the planned activities both under the socio-economic development program and the national project ‘Infrastructure for Life.’ For example, housing construction is going well. Currently, nine residential complexes with a total area of 367 thousand square meters for 5 thousand apartments are being built. Some of them will be allocated for relocating residents from emergency housing. Of course, the top priority today remains preparing for the heating season – nearly 80% of the planned volume of work has been completed, including at social facilities and educational institutions where classes will soon begin. In case of emergencies, it is important to have a sufficient number of generators prepared and fuel supplied for boilerhouses. Overall, Kherson region has growth prospects, grounded in its advantageous geographical location and favorable climate, allowing agricultural activity and thereby increasing economic ties with the subjects of southern Russia,” added Marat Khusnullin.
