The government continues to create conditions for attracting specialists to enterprises in the agro-industrial complex (AIC). As part of this effort, a decision has been made to expand the number of recipients of state support provided for by the federal project “Personnel in the AIC.”
According to the decree signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, state support for the implementation of measures to train personnel for the agro-industrial complex can now be received by organizations subordinate to regional authorities responsible for veterinary affairs. In particular, they will be reimbursed for expenses when concluding contracts for targeted training of students, as well as part of the costs for their accommodation and internships. This will increase the number of veterinary specialists working in state veterinary service institutions.
In addition, to attract business representatives, regions will have the opportunity to allocate federal subsidy funds to financially support the expenses of investors who have invested in the reconstruction, major repairs, and equipment of colleges and universities that train specialists in the agro-industrial complex, as well as the expenses of customers of key projects for the creation of agrotechnological classes in schools.
The issue was discussed at at the meeting with the deputy prime ministers on August 17. “We expect that the decision made will improve the efficiency of subsidizing workforce training for the agro-industrial sector, and that schoolchildren and students will have the opportunity to acquire new skills on modern equipment,” noted Mikhail Mishustin.
Support for activities aimed at improving the staffing of the agro-industrial complex is provided within the framework of the federal project “Personnel in the Agro-Industrial Complex” of the national project “Technological Support for Food Security.” In 2026, more than 9.5 billion rubles are allocated in the federal budget for these purposes.
