On the first Sunday of September, Russia celebrates the Day of Oil and Gas Industry Workers. For this holiday, on September 5 and 6, the public joint-stock company “Mosgaz” will hold an interactive program at the Moscow Urban Economy Museum site at VDNH for all interested. Visitors can expect tours, workshops, quizzes, and other thematic events. This was reported by the capital’s urban utilities complex.
For two days from 10:00 to 12:00, a master class “Assemble Mosgaz” will take place. Participants will assemble puzzles featuring key company facilities and learn about the work of the city’s gas workers, innovative technologies, and large-scale projects in a playful manner. At the same time, themed quizzes will offer a chance to test knowledge about the history of Moscow’s gas industry and the safety rules for handling gas appliances.
On September 5th at 12:15, a master class on virtual welding “Golden Welders of Mosgaz” will take place. Guests will get to try this profession using a VR simulator that the company’s specialists use to train and assess qualification levels. This technology allows for safely practicing the necessary skills and determining the quality of the virtual weld.
On the same day, from 14:00 to 16:00, a career orientation quest “School of Young Gas Workers” will take place. At five interactive stations, participants will build a gas pipeline from a constructor set, test their concentration skills, and complete other interesting tasks, as well as learn about the company’s history. Additionally, at 16:00, the children will be able to decorate construction helmets with stickers and take them home.
On September 6 at 12:00, all who wish can join the board game “Memo,” dedicated to Moscow’s gas industry. At 13:00, young visitors will create a “Fire Horse” toy from yarn — a mascot of Mosgaz. The craft can be taken home as a souvenir of the celebration.
At 3:00 PM, there will be an interactive meeting titled “Truth and Myths about Gas Safety” with quiz elements. The program will conclude at 4:00 PM with a free drawing contest called “The Profession of a Gas Worker through the Eyes of Children.”
For active participation in the activities, visitors will receive memorable gifts with the company’s corporate symbols. Entrance to the celebration is free.
