As part of the “Moscow — region” project, more than 50 routes have already been opened, connecting the capital with eight urban districts of the nearby Moscow region. Also, the operating hours of the routes have increased from 17 to 20 hours per day,” wrote the Mayor of Moscow.

After the launch of the “Moscow — Region” project, passenger traffic on routes transferred to the capital’s transport increased by 34 percent. At the same time, the flow of private vehicles on highways in the project area decreased by eight percent (18 thousand cars per day). About 23 thousand passengers switched from private vehicles to public transport or started commuting to Moscow.
To date, over 20 million trips have been made on the project’s routes. More than 90 percent of passengers evaluate the changes positively.
Passengers are served according to the standards of the capital’s transport, and all the familiar services and benefits available to Muscovites are accessible to them.
“Residents of the Moscow region have for the first time been given the opportunity to use unlimited ‘Unified’ suburban zone subscriptions for 30, 90, or 365 days with the ‘Troika’ card on surface transport — with free transfers to all metropolitan transport,” added Sergey Sobyanin.
