Tehran, April 11 /Xin Hua/ — In Pakistan, face-to-face negotiations between technical groups of delegations from Iran and the USA have been completed; currently, the parties are exchanging written documents. This was reported on Saturday by the semi-official Iranian news agency Fars.
According to the report, negotiations at the technical group level followed a meeting of high-ranking officials. The agency added that after two rounds of discussions on Saturday evening, a third round of Iranian-American negotiations is planned.
In turn, the Iranian semi-official news agency Mehr noted that unresolved disagreements remain between the parties. According to the agency citing a source close to the negotiating team, “unjustified demands” still hinder the development of the desired frameworks.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Iranian side insists on its demands and conditions to “consolidate the military achievements it has reached.”
Delegations of Iran and the USA will meet in Islamabad for negotiations aimed at reducing tensions in the Middle East after the ceasefire reached at the beginning of this week following more than a month of hostilities. –0–
