Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak held a working meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Russia, Sami Al-Saadan.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in the fuel and energy complex sector, trade and economic, and transport spheres.

At the core are the established personal trustful ties between the President of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of Saudi Arabia Salman, and the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman. Throughout 2026, the jubilee year dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Saudi relations, a number of joint events are planned.”Symbolically, this year the kingdom will participate as a guest country in the XXIX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, as well as in the International Forum of United Cultures. It is believed that this will contribute to the further strengthening of cooperation in the areas most important to us,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
