“Traditionally, with the beginning of the new school year, the number of children and teenagers on the city’s streets increases, so before September 1st, we carried out work to update the road markings near schools, kindergartens, cultural and leisure centers, libraries, and sports complexes. This year, more than 10,000 ‘Caution, children!’ signs were applied, which duplicate the ‘Children’ road sign on the roadway,” said Petr Biryukov.
The main purpose of the additional markings is to warn drivers that a child may suddenly appear on the road in this area. This means that you need to reduce speed and be extremely attentive.
The “Caution, Children!” marking belongs to complex configuration elements. It is applied manually using cold plastic. This is a more durable material that does not require preheating and does not deform during the application process. The material contains special glass beads that enhance light reflection. This increases the visibility of the marking and road safety.
Road marking work was carried out mainly at night with partial traffic restrictions.
