In the North-Eastern Administrative Okrug of the capital, the improvement of courtyards is coming to an end. They have already renovated 221 out of the 236 planned for updating in 2026. The work in the north-east of the capital is part of a large-scale city program, and since the beginning of April, about 800 courtyards have been improved across all districts of Moscow.
In the courtyards of the North-Eastern Administrative District, craftsmen are repairing children’s and sports playgrounds, asphalt concrete pavement of driveways and pedestrian paths, installing new curbstones, repairing retaining walls, replacing container sites, and performing other tasks. On average, 15–25 specialists and two pieces of equipment are engaged daily at each site. Tractors, dump trucks, manipulators, and vehicles for delivering equipment and materials are involved. The work is carried out in stages: first, the craftsmen dismantle the old coating and small architectural forms, then prepare the base, install the curbstone, arrange the underlying layers, install new equipment, and lay the impact-absorbing surface.
They have already reconstructed 13 sports grounds, modernized 103 children’s playgrounds, and 30 workout and exercise areas.
Among the improved areas are the courtyards on Altufyevskoye Highway, Akademika Korolyova Street, Yablochkova Street, Korneichuka Street, Yugorsky Passage, as well as on Novosushchevskaya, Tayninskaya, Shirokaya, Lenskaya, and Selkhozakhaistvennaya Streets. New children’s and sports playgrounds have been built here, the surface has been renovated, and modern equipment, street furniture, and lighting have been installed.
Thus, in the courtyards of houses 56 and 60 on Altufyevskoye Highway, a new multifunctional sports ground was equipped, tennis tables, a play complex, a sandbox, and carousels were installed. Near house 21 on Novosuschevskaya Street, in addition to a children’s playground, a resting area with gazebo-swings was created.
Near house 4, building 2 on Akademik Korolev Street, a multifunctional space with play equipment, exercise machines, and a ping-pong table has appeared. At house 17, building 1 on Tayninskaya Street, a tall play complex with a spiral staircase was installed, and near house 22, buildings 1 and 2 on Yugorsky Drive, separate children’s and sports grounds were arranged.
In the district, the improvement of several more children’s and sports playgrounds is also being completed. The new play areas are being designed taking into account the interests of residents of different ages — from toddlers to teenagers.
For younger children, sandboxes, rocking toys, swings, and playsets with slides are installed. The arrangement of such playgrounds has been completed, in particular, at Yasny Proezd (near building 26, block 3) and Yugorsky Proezd (near building 22, block 2).
For older children, more complex play areas are created with multi-level complexes, climbing elements, carousels, and trampolines. Such playgrounds are being arranged near the building 30 on Ostashkovskaya Street and near building 11, block 2 on Novgorodskaya Street.
Specialists pay particular attention to the sports infrastructure. Between the houses on Novosuschevskaya and Tikhvinskaya streets, the creation of a modern area with strength training equipment, tennis tables, horizontal bars, and a climbing wall is being completed.
