Guangzhou, August 26 /Xinhua/ — At around 03:25 AM on Wednesday, Typhoon “Narra,” the 19th of 2026, struck Xuwen County in the city of Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province /South China/, the provincial meteorological observatory reported.
This was the second landfall of typhoon “Narra” on the Chinese coast. The maximum wind speed at its epicenter reached 18 meters per second / force 8 on the scale/.
