Beijing, August 26 /Xinhua/ — Official spokesperson of the Southern Theater Command of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLAS Southern Theater Command), Zhai Shichen, announced on Wednesday that the naval and air forces of the Southern Theater Command conducted routine patrols in the South China Sea from August 21 to 25.
Zhai Shichen stated that the Philippines have involved countries outside the region in conducting so-called joint patrols, attempting to provoke unrest in the South China Sea, which disrupts peace and stability in the region.
