Educational and methodological kit financial literacy for universities is now available in digital format. All chapters have been updated and are presented as interactive longreads, and at every stage, readers are accompanied by virtual characters who help to understand complex financial issues.
“Financial literacy today is an essential part of training specialists of any profile. And here, not only the content but also the form is important: modern students need educational materials to be accessible online, easily readable from any device, and engaging in the learning process. This is precisely why we focused on an interactive digital format,” noted Mikhail Mamuta, Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia.
The guide covers all key topics: lending, savings, investing, insurance, and cybersecurity. Each chapter includes special sections on behavioral economics—embedded notifications that use simple examples to show how cognitive biases affect financial decisions. There you can also find advice on how to avoid falling into these traps.
The updated textbook is associated with an online project “FinTrack”, where students can additionally listen to podcasts on various topics of interest to them.
The electronic version of the textbook was worked on by the author team of professors from the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University, as well as experts from the Bank of Russia. The materials are posted on the Financial Culture website in the section “Faculty”.
