On regular routes of electric river vessels, new themed trips will be held for young people, children, and their parents. Passengers can look forward to book clubs, as well as interactive meetings and discussions with writers.
“Regular electric river vessels are a unique project with no analogues in the world. They combine the functions of urban transport and a comfortable public space. Since October 2025, we have been conducting free lectures on electric vessels, and now we have prepared a new format of a book club, where listeners can expect themed discussions and meetings with authors. Passengers will be able to combine a trip along the Moscow River with live and useful communication,” noted the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
The organizers of the themed trips were the State Public Institution “Transport Organizer” (Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the City of Moscow) and the publishing group “Alpina.”
Since the beginning of the year, more than 190 events have been held on electric ships, attended by over 4,300 people. Lectures are organized daily on the second, third, and fourth routes. Among the project partners are Department of Culture of the City of Moscow, the capital’s museums, the contemporary art platform “Kub”, the Luzhniki Olympic Complex, the Russian Society “Znanie”, and the Russian State Library.
The first meeting of the new series of themed flights will take place on August 27. Guests are invited to a discussion titled “Reading Season: how we choose books according to mood and time of year.” The discussion will include authors of book projects Ulyana Gertseva, Olesya Arshanapalli, and Elena Vishnyakova, with Polina Mannanova, a book producer, serving as moderator. Bloggers have also prepared selection recommendations for each season.
