On August 29, the III Interregional Inclusive Festival will take place in Yauza Park “Three Steps to Victory”. Inspectors of the Passenger Mobility Support Center (PMSC) will help people with limited mobility get from the nearest Sviblovo metro station to the festival venue at 10:30 and back after it ends.
“We support inclusive projects on the orders of Sergey Sobyanin. This year, COMP inspectors have accompanied over 37 thousand passengers, and more than 470 guide dogs have been trained at metro station training grounds. Some of them will perform demonstrations at the festival in Yauza Park,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry.
Festival guests will be able to see competitions in standard and stunt training of guide dogs, therapy dogs, and other pets. In addition, visitors will enjoy contests in the canine sport discipline “dancing with dogs.”
The event will feature demonstration performances by artists and athletes with and without disabilities, master classes on creativity, ecology, and inclusion. Participation is also available for guests with visual impairments.
More than 600 blind people in Russia use guide dogs. Additionally, many people with disabilities have a dog as a pet. Cynological sports and creative activities with dogs contribute not only to physical but also emotional recovery, building self-confidence, developing communication skills, and expanding social contacts.
