In museums and cultural spaces of Moscow, training sessions with well-known athletes will be held for the first time on September 5. The events will be part of the “Summer in Moscow” project and will take place within the framework “Moscow Sports Nights”. Organizer — the capital city Department of Sports.
The new direction will become a bright addition to the city run “Museum Mile”, combining sports activities and cultural education.
From 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Muscovites and visitors to the capital will be able to participate in nine training sessions held at the venues of leading museums and cultural spaces in the city. The program will include barre, Pilates, stretching, dance workout, and step aerobics.
At the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) (25 Petrovka Street), there will be a joint step training session with Alexander Panzhinsky. A dance training session with Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin can be attended at the Russian National Museum of Music (4 Fadeeva Street).
At the Petrovsky Travel Palace (40 Leningradsky Prospect), Samira Mustafaeva will conduct a barre class. A functional training session with Yuri Postrigay will be organized at the State Museum of Sports (Kazakova Street, building 18, structure 1).
In addition, training sessions will be held at the “Zotov” center (Khodynskaya Street, Building 2, Structure 1), at the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts (Delegatskaya Street, Building 3, Structure 1), at the Moscow Planetarium (Sadovaya-Kudrinskaya Street, Building 5, Structure 1), and at another MMOMA venue located at Gogolevsky Boulevard, Building 10.
Before the start of the training sessions, tours will be organized at some venues, allowing participants to get acquainted more closely with the exhibits and the history of the venues.
Workouts in museums and cultural spaces will become a new format for the “Moscow Sports Night” and will allow participants to see the combination of physical activity and the cultural environment in a different light.
