Moscow is one of the key centers for the development and production of high-tech medical devices in Russia. This was reported by Sergey Sobyanin on his channel on in the messenger “Max”.

“With the support of the city, companies are increasing production and launching new products that successfully compete with foreign counterparts. They manufacture bionic prostheses, X-ray equipment, ultrasound systems, emergency medical aid tools, and much more. All of this is in demand both in metropolitan and regional hospitals and clinics,” noted the Mayor of Moscow.

Thus, the leading Russian manufacturer of equipment for the diagnosis of oncological diseases using immunohistochemistry (IHC) sends its products to 89 regions of Russia. More than 30 percent of all IHC studies in the country are conducted on the company’s X-ray devices.

The center of development became the cluster of pharmaceuticals and medicine special economic zone “Technopolis Moscow”. For example, one of the residents supplies anesthesia and respiratory equipment and ventilators to 20 regions of the country — from Dagestan to Yakutia.

Another manufacturer produces innovative medical devices used in emergency care. They are in demand in more than 50 regions.

“The company’s flagship product is an automatic device for chest compressions that allows the patient to be transported to the hospital without interrupting cardiopulmonary resuscitation. It was developed jointly with specialists from the Moscow A.S. Puchkov Ambulance and Emergency Medical Service Station,” added Sergey Sobyanin.

Over the past three years, the capital’s medical sector has been developing at record rates and leads in revenue among regions of Russia. There are more than 230 industry manufacturers in Moscow. In the first half of 2026, the production of medical equipment and instruments in the city increased by 16.8 percent compared to the same period in 2025.
