Beijing, August 21 /Xinhua/ — The Air Forces of China and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will soon conduct joint exercises “Falcon Shield-2026” in the city of Hotan, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in northwest China, the Ministry of National Defense of China informed on Friday.
As part of the event, which is scheduled to take place from the third decade of August to the second decade of September, command and staff exercises, flight training, and the active phase of mixed crew maneuvers will be organized, the ministry added.
This is the fourth time that the air forces of both countries have conducted joint training exercises called “Falcon Shield,” aimed at enhancing the tactical and technical potential of the participating units, as well as strengthening the traditional friendship and practical cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, officials at the ministry added.
