Beijing, August 21 /Xinhua/ — Chinese legislators will soon begin considering draft amendments to the PRC Lawyer Law, primarily aimed at strengthening legal services related to foreign affairs.
As official spokesperson for the Legislative Affairs Commission of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPCSC), Huang Haihua told reporters on Friday that, in particular, the draft amendments aim to improve the training of lawyers specializing in international legal matters.
It also talks about supporting law firms in improving their competence in providing services related to abroad, and encouraging the expansion of broader international exchanges and cooperation, said Huang Haihua.
