Registration is open for the autumn bike festival, which will take place on September 12. Participants can look forward to a unique route: starting at Vorobyovy Gory, riding along the scenic Berezhkovskaya Embankment, and emerging onto the Garden Ring. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry. Maxim Liksutov.
“On the instructions of Sergey Sobyanin, we continue to develop cycling culture in the capital. The autumn bike festival is a major event of the current season, which has already hosted several large-scale rides. The popularity of the cycling movement in the capital is growing, and we are glad that more and more Muscovites are choosing an active lifestyle. We are postponing the night bike festival to next year; the date will be announced later, and for now, we are waiting for everyone to join the autumn ride. Registration is already open,” said Maxim Liksutov.
Participants gather at 11:30, columns start at 12:30, 13:30, and 14:30.
At registration it is necessary to choose a start slot and arrive at your time so that everyone is comfortable on the route.
The organizers recommend taking safety precautions: use a bike helmet, gloves, elbow pads, and knee pads. Immediately after registration, the participant receives a number that can be printed and attached to clothing or the bicycle.
A rich program has been prepared in the starting and finishing towns: interactive zones, photo booths, a performance by a guest artist, as well as prize and gift draws.
