Moscow Mill Plant No. 3 will build a new production facility in the capital as part of the implementation large-scale investment project (MaIP). This was reported by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry Maxim Liksutov.
“By the order of the Mayor of Moscow, the city is implementing a mechanism for large-scale investment projects that helps enterprises update their production capacities and launch modern full-cycle complexes. A new stage in the development of one of these productions will begin in the Khoroshevsky district, where a four-story building of about eight thousand square meters will appear. Here, deep processing of hard wheat grain will be organized, with a production capacity of up to 400 tons of raw materials per day. After the facility is put into operation, 75 new jobs will be created,” added Maksim Liksutov.
In addition to premium and second-grade flour, semolina, and bran, the company will establish production of a wide range of pasta products. This will include spaghetti, noodles, penne, spirals, stars, vermicelli, elbow macaroni, and farfalle — bow-tie shaped pasta. Additionally, gluten-free pasta and products made from coarse-ground flour for dietary nutrition will be produced here.
“Moscow is consistently developing the food industry, supporting both the creation of new enterprises and the modernization of existing ones. Today, the capital is home to more than 100 producers of bread, bakery and flour products, as well as flour itself, and the Moscow Milling Plant No. 3 makes a significant contribution to the development of this sector. The new complex will allow supplying products to all regions of Russia and resume the industrial production of candele pasta — long tubular products that are currently represented on the domestic market mainly through imports,” noted the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy.
Since 2022, investors planning to build industrial facilities within the framework of MaIP can lease land at a preferential rate — one ruble per year.
According to Ekaterina Solovyova, the Minister of the Moscow Government, head of the Moscow Department of City Property, the city allocated about 0.5 hectares of land on 5th Magistralnaya Street for the construction of a new building of the Moscow Milling Plant No. 3 — in close proximity to the existing production facility. This significantly optimizes the enterprise’s logistics. The plot for construction was leased at a preferential rate, which will allow directing a significant part of the investment towards creating a modern production facility and equipping it with advanced technology. Preparatory work is currently underway at the construction site.
Earlier, Sergey Sobyanin announced the opening of a modern facility in the west of Moscow food industry enterprises, which became the first in-house production of the popular restaurant brand «Кофемания».
