The “Mosbilet” service has presented a guide to the capital’s premiere performances ahead of the upcoming theater season. A special section “New season with ‘Mosbilet'” will become a convenient guide for city residents to debut performances. Users will be able to choose productions by genre: tragedy, drama, tragicomedy, satire, fairy tale, and even horror.
The section gathers all the main premieres — from experimental immersive and children’s performances to profound dramatic plays and classical ballet. Users will be able to find out the dates of the first shows, familiarize themselves with the descriptions of the productions, the cast, and the directing team. Additionally, the navigator includes convenient filters by various parameters.
Thus, on September 3, 4, and 23, the Theater on Trubnaya will present a play “Deceit and Love”. In this play, Friedrich Schiller shows the characters’ decisions and their consequences instead of giving direct answers. It is a story about love and confrontation, where every choice brings you closer to an ending that is hard to predict.
The Moscow Academic Musical Theater named after K.S. Stanislavsky and Vl. I. Nemirovich-Danchenko will open the new season on September 4 with a ballet “Anna Karenina” — one of the most prominent projects of the 107th season. At the heart of the production is the tragic story of Anna and the storyline of Levin, who goes through a journey from inner crisis to finding peace of mind. The juxtaposition of these two fates — Anna’s destructive passion and Levin’s creative quest — becomes the thematic center of the new stage adaptation.
Starting October 10, performances of the play will begin at the Moscow Drama Theater named after N.V. Gogol “An Ordinary Miracle”. The audience will see on the stage a phantasmagorical fairy-tale universe created by the imagination of the main character — the Great Writer. His inner demons, hidden fears, and suppressed emotions are embodied in characters who acquire their own personality and will. The plot captivates the writer himself and his wife. They involuntarily find themselves inside their own creation, where they have to start the love story anew.
“Nikita Mikhalkov’s ‘Workshop 12′” will present its version of Mikhail Bulgakov’s novella on September 17, 18, and 24 “Heart of a Dog”. According to the plot, Professor Preobrazhensky’s experiment becomes a reason for deep reflection on the nature of personality and moral choice.
Special Section “New season with ‘Mosbilet'” will help city residents not to miss a single important premiere and to plan their cultural leisure so that every trip to the theater becomes special.
