A “Fluffy Tail” exhibition with the adoption of animals from city shelters was held in the chess pavilion of Izmailovsky Park. About 50 pets were presented there. A new home was found for 23 cats and one dog. This was reported by Moscow urban management complex.

Cats and dogs from the “Zoorassvet” shelter of the State Budgetary Institution “Dorinvest”, and from city shelters for stray animals “Fluffy Friend”, “Biryulyovo”, “Solntsevo”, and “Nekrasovka” in the Troitsky and Novomoskovsky, Southern, Western, and South-Eastern administrative districts came to the exhibition.

Shelter specialists and volunteers introduced visitors to the pets, telling them about their personalities, habits, and behavioral traits. Visitors could pet and interact with the cats, and take the dogs for a walk.

The charitable foundation for helping homeless animals “Nika” provided consultations to visitors on the health and upbringing of their pets. Employees of the cat café “MoreKot” talked about their organization as another way to place animals left without a home, and also shared life hacks on acclimating pets to new conditions. A cynologist from the company “Four Paws” gave a lecture on helping dogs adapt from shelters and also conducted a demonstration with a four-legged friend. In addition, guests who came with their dogs could take advantage of a free express grooming service.

Everyone who decided to adopt a pet from the exhibition was given pet care kits by the pet store chains “Four Paws” and “Beethoven.”

For children, free creative workshops were held on decorating heart-shaped badges, creating the souvenir toy “Grassy,” as well as making bracelets, dog tags, and wire animal figurines. Additionally, an entertainer was present for the little visitors.

In addition, themed quizzes of the “Pet Quiz” project took place at the exhibition. Participants and winners received commemorative gifts. Also, a quest called “Fluffy Stamps” was held for visitors with guaranteed prizes.

For the guests, a field kitchen was set up where they were served porridge, tea, and cookies.

Visitors who could not pick up a dog or cat on the day of the exhibition had the chance to meet future pets by signing up with volunteers or through the service “Mospitomec” on the mos.ru portal. Today, all 13 city shelters are connected to it, and the catalog features more than 1,500 dogs and cats.

To get acquainted with a pet you like, simply click the “Sign Up” button on the animal’s profile and wait for a call from the shelter. All pets are vaccinated, chipped, and socialized, meaning they are fully ready to move to a new home.

The event was organized by the capital’s Department of Housing and Communal Services with the participation of the prefectures of TiNAO, South Administrative Okrug, Western Administrative Okrug, South-Eastern Administrative Okrug, and Eastern Administrative Okrug.
