Beijing, August 14 /Xinhua/ — The Air Forces of China and Egypt will conduct joint exercises in Egypt from mid-August to early September, said Chen Xi, an official spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense of the PRC, on Friday.
Chen Xi made this statement at a press briefing, noting that the exercises codenamed “Eagles of Civilization-2026” will be the second joint air force maneuvers of the two countries.
He added that the exercises will practice disciplines such as air combat tactics, operations to achieve air superiority, search and rescue operations on the battlefield, as well as training in force deployment.
Chen Xi stated that the joint exercises will help further strengthen mutual trust and traditional friendship, deepen practical cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, and contribute to maintaining peace and stability in the region.
