The official forum website has published the program of the cultural festival “Vladivostok Seasons.” It will take place within the framework of the 11th Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held from September 1 to 4. The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation, supported by the Government.
“The Eastern Economic Forum not only talks about the socio-economic development of the Far Eastern territories, but also introduces the peculiarities of our regions – culture, traditions, lifestyle, and creative achievements. Here, on one platform, participants and guests of the EEF can get acquainted with musical groups, learn about artistic projects and creative initiatives of the regions. All this should bring our Far East closer, encourage people to come here and see the features of different territories with their own eyes,” said Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Chairman of the Government – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The festival will bring together exhibition, concert, and educational projects that will be accessible to forum participants, residents, and city guests. The program will introduce visitors to the history, art, and cultural heritage of the Far East, as well as offer a new perspective on Vladivostok as one of Russia’s largest cultural centers.
“Preserving cultural heritage and creating opportunities for creative interaction in the current realities are becoming a mandatory condition for the comprehensive development of territories. The humanitarian sphere allows strengthening ties between regions and expands opportunities for international cooperation. In this regard, we pay great attention to the cultural program of the Eastern Economic Forum. Cultural events traditionally complement the business agenda of the forum, creating space for a trustful dialogue. I am confident that the “Vladivostok Seasons” festival will become for the participants of the forum – residents and guests of the region – an opportunity to discover the Far East from a new perspective,” emphasized Presidential Advisor and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee Anton Kobyakov.
Every day during the forum, creative groups from across the Far East will perform on the city stage at Revolution Fighters Square in Vladivostok, and the festival’s key event will be the gala concert “Melodies of the Pacific,” which will take place on September 5 on the city stage for residents and guests of the region.
A significant part of the program will be devoted to the history of Russia and the Far East. Through projects of the country’s leading museums, visitors will be able to learn more about the development of the eastern territories, the growth of the Russian navy, the formation of statehood, and the history of Vladivostok. Among the key projects are the exhibitions “120 Years Underwater” and “A View to the East,” as well as the exhibits of the Vladivostok Fortress Museum-Reserve, revealing the history of Russia’s naval outpost in the Pacific Ocean.
The festival will also bring together major art projects. Visitors can look forward to an exhibition of jewelry from the collection of the State Hermitage, displays dedicated to Russian Impressionism and domestic painting, as well as projects by contemporary artists reflecting the cultural uniqueness of the Far East. This combination will allow residents and guests of Vladivostok to see the development of Russian art – from recognized classics to current artistic practices.
Special attention will be given to the cultural diversity of Russia. Exhibition and educational projects will introduce guests to the traditions, customs, and artistic heritage of the indigenous peoples of the Far East. One of the central projects will be the exhibition “From Aleuts to Yakuts. The Far Eastern Vector,” which showcases the richness and diversity of the region’s culture.
Themed tours will also be organized around the historic city center, the Millionka district, and sites of the Vladivostok fortress. Special routes for guests will be prepared, focusing on the maritime history and architectural heritage of the Primorsky capital.
In addition, guests can look forward to jazz evenings in Nagorny Park, performances by the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, and the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
A vibrant program is also planned as part of the “Far East Street” exhibition. The opening ceremony will take place on September 1. Throughout all the days of the forum, concert programs from the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District will be organized here, showcasing the national traditions, contemporary performing arts, and cultural diversity of each constituent entity of the FED.
