Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev visited the Tver region on a working trip. The Vice Premier, together with Acting Governor Vitaly Korolev, visited one of the largest dairy production enterprises in the region, evaluated various types of special equipment at the Tver Municipal Engineering Plant, and also familiarized himself with the progress of work at the region’s wastewater treatment facilities. During a working meeting with the acting head of the Tver region, issues of development of the agro-industrial complex, rural areas, as well as the implementation of projects in the field of natural resource management and environmental protection were discussed.

“Tver Oblast is one of the significant regions for the economy of the Central Federal District. One of the key sectors is the agro-industrial complex. The Russian government annually allocates significant funding to support it, including for the production of products. Literally just last week, the harvesting campaign started in Tver Oblast. Of course, I wish the farmers a successful completion of the work and good yields. I ask to ensure that agricultural producers have all the necessary resources,” said Dmitry Patrushev.

The Deputy Prime Minister noted the growth in production indicators in dairy farming: in the first half of 2026, the increase was 16%. Together with the acting head of the region, Dmitry Patrushev visited one of the leading milk production enterprises in the region – JSC “Kalininskoe.” The company is also a participant in the federal project “Personnel in Agriculture.” The enterprise equipped an agrotechnological classroom at the secondary general education school in the village of Goryutino, Tver region. Thanks to this project, young people see that working in such a high-tech industry is interesting and prestigious.

In addition, measures are being implemented in the Tver region to create comfortable living conditions for citizens in rural areas. In 2026, work is underway in three areas, including the rental acquisition of housing and the improvement of public spaces. Dmitry Patrushev emphasized the importance of quality control in the implementation of all projects under the state program “Comprehensive Development of Rural Territories.”

During a working trip, the Deputy Prime Minister focused on the environmental agenda and visited the treatment facilities in Tver, built as part of the federal project “Volga Rehabilitation.” The reconstruction has been completed here, and confirmation of the facility’s regulatory operation is expected soon. Dmitry Patrushev noted positive progress both at this and other treatment facilities in the Tver region, which are under the control of the Government’s interdepartmental headquarters.

The region is also implementing measures to improve water bodies, preserve forests, and develop the solid municipal waste management system. The Deputy Prime Minister toured a municipal engineering plant where unique equipment for Russia is produced — vacuum loaders, excavators, sewer cleaning machines, sludge suckers, vacuum sweepers, and road machines. The enterprise also manufactures garbage trucks. Last year, 59 units of equipment were delivered for the solid municipal waste management sector.
