The VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum and the XII Kyrgyz-Russian Interregional Conference “Strategic Partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia: Priorities – 2030” were held on the shore of Lake Issyk-Kul in the Kyrgyz Republic. Representatives of the State University of Management participated in the work of this large-scale business platform.
The forum brought together representatives of government authorities, businesses, development institutions, as well as expert, scientific, and educational communities, with the central themes being the prospects of Russian-Kyrgyz cooperation until 2030, industrial cooperation, the development of transport and logistics corridors, digital transformation, investment interaction, and training of personnel for the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.
In those same days, a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council took place with the participation of the prime ministers of the EAEU countries and observer states.
New opportunities for science and education in the EAEU
Following the meeting, the heads of government of the EAEU countries signed a package of documents, including three agreements: on electronic commerce of goods within the EAEU, on the admission of brokers and dealers from one Union state to organized trading on the exchanges of other participating states, and on the mutual recognition of academic degree documents.
The latest agreement is of particular significance for the scientific and educational community. It provides for the recognition of academic degree documents within the framework of labor migration and expands opportunities for scientists and educators to engage in professional activities in the EAEU countries.
The speeches of the representatives of the State University of Management (GUU) at the forum platforms were precisely dedicated to issues of personnel potential development, educational integration, and university cooperation.
More than 400 specialists have been trained in the programs of the Eurasian Network University
At the panel session of the Eurasian Economic Commission “Economic Integration in the EAEU: Focus on Domestic Potential,” Dmitry Bryukhanov, Vice-Rector of the State University of Management and Head of the Secretariat of the Eurasian Network University, spoke.
He presented the results of the Eurasian Network University’s work in the field of training personnel for the economies of the Union states. From January 2024 to June 2026, more than 400 attendees from the EAEU countries participated in advanced training and additional professional education programs.
Special attention was given to the first master’s program in the EAEU, “Economics of Integration Processes in the Eurasian Economic Union,” launched at the State University of Management with the support of the Eurasian Economic Commission in March 2024.
The program became one of the practical results of the cooperation between the university and the EEC in training specialists capable of working on tasks related to Eurasian economic integration.
GUU acted as a co-organizer of the session of the Eurasian Network University
The business program continued with a panel session of the Eurasian Network University “Scaling Business Projects and Technologies within the EAEU.” One of its organizers was the State University of Management.
Arzybek Kozhoshev, Member of the Board and Minister for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech.
Representatives of the EEC and leading universities discussed the creation of joint projects and scientific-industrial consortia, digital transformation of higher education, commercialization of scientific developments, current trends in engineering education, and the training of specialists for the implementation of major projects in the EAEU countries.
The discussion included Andrey Panteleev, Head of the Economic Policy Strategies Department of the EEC Macroeconomic Policy Department; Gulnaz Supaeva, Rector of the Research University “Kyrgyz Economic University named after M. Ryskulbekov”; Akylbek Chymyrov, Vice-Rector of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov; Musapar Orozaliev, Rector of the Institute of Innovative Professions; Alikbek Dzhekshenkulov, Professor at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University; and Turatbek Duishenaliev, Professor at MEI National Research University and President of the Kyrgyz Engineering Education Association.
42 leading universities are united in the Eurasian Network University
During the session, Dmitry Bryukhanov presented the report “Experience of the Scientific and Educational Consortium ‘Eurasian Network University’ in Training Personnel for the Economies of the EAEU Countries.”
Today, the consortium unites 42 leading universities from the EAEU countries and observer states. From 2024 to 2026, specialists from the participating universities developed and implemented continuing professional education programs for citizens of the Union countries in economics, management, marketing, law, information technology, logistics, and crop production.
Special attention in the report was given to network interaction between universities. This format allows combining the competencies of educational organizations from different countries and flexibly adapting specialist training programs to the needs of the common labor market of the EAEU.
The participation of the State University of Management in the VIII Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum was a continuation of SUM’s systematic work on developing international scientific and educational cooperation and training personnel for the economies of the Eurasian Economic Union countries.
The university continues to develop cooperation with partners from the EAEU countries, expand the opportunities of the Eurasian network university, and create educational projects focused on the current challenges of Eurasian economic integration.
