Beijing, August 11 /Xinhua/ — From August 27 to 29, the 16th China International Digital Publishing Expo will be held in Jinan city (administrative center of Shandong Province, East China), the exhibition organizing committee announced.
According to the report, this year for the first time an exhibition area dedicated to the integration of traditional Chinese culture and online games will be presented as part of the event.
In recent years, domestic games such as “Black Myth: Wukong” have not only confirmed the technological breakthrough of China’s gaming industry but also breathed new life into traditional Chinese culture through its creative transformation and innovative development.
In 2025, revenue from sales in China’s domestic gaming market amounted to more than 350 billion yuan (about 52 billion US dollars), increasing by 7.68 percent year-on-year, while the number of users reached 683 million, which is 1.35 percent more than in the previous year.
It is expected that more than 500 exhibitors will participate in the upcoming exhibition, as well as delegations from 20 provincial-level regions across China and overseas participants from more than 30 countries and regions, the organizing committee added.
The China Academy of Press and Publication, a co-organizer of the event, will present intermediate results of its work on developing industry standards for artificial intelligence applications during the EXPO.
As part of the exhibition, there will be one main forum, six thematic forums, and over 80 accompanying events during which participants will discuss issues of digital publishing, human-machine interaction, and global academic communication.
The China International Digital Publishing EXPO, first held in 2005, is a major platform aimed at promoting the development of the digital publishing industry.
