The World Health Organization (WHO) humanitarian warehouse in Dnipro, Ukraine, was struck three times, with two of the strikes occurring within a single day. All emergency aid supplies stored there, intended for medical facilities in frontline areas, were destroyed. This was announced today by WHO.

No reports of casualties.
“This warehouse stored materials intended to support vital medical services in frontline areas,” said Hans Kluge, Director of the WHO Regional Office for Europe. “Its destruction means that we will have fewer medicines, less equipment, and fewer capabilities to assist the sick and wounded.”

The first strike on the warehouse was carried out on August 3, after which the WHO declared it unsafe and began evacuating the supplies. On August 7, immediately after a WHO employee and several drivers left the site, a new strike was launched, directly destroying the WHO supplies. A few hours later, a third strike destroyed the building.
Before the warehouse was destroyed, employees managed to move 130 out of approximately 300 pallets of cargo to another location. WHO continues to assess the extent of the damage. Before the attacks, the warehouse contained supplies worth about 500 thousand dollars.
“These attacks must stop immediately,” emphasized Kluge.
