The XVII All-Russian Youth Forum “Mashuk” of the Rosmolodezh.Platforms Rosmolodezh was solemnly opened at the Komsomolskaya Polyana in Pyatigorsk. This year the event gathered more than 2,200 participants from all regions of Russia and several foreign countries, aged from 14 to 35 years – young professionals in the fields of pedagogy and education, members of the Federal Children’s Public Council, young mentors and students of the All-Russian project “First Ones for the First” aged 14 to 17. The forum is held within the framework of the national project “Youth and Children.”
Greetings to the organizers, participants, and guests of the forum were sent by the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The head of state noted that “Mashuk” has come a long way, significantly strengthening its authority and consolidating potential, proving in practice that youth, with their active and caring stance, is an important creative force, in demand in solving tasks in the fields of education, upbringing of the younger generation, preservation of cultural heritage, and strengthening interethnic harmony in society.
“I am confident that beginner teachers, students of specialized educational institutions, and young talents will take the most active part in the events of the rich program of this year’s forum. They will acquire new knowledge, broaden their professional horizons. And the traditional atmosphere of friendship and creativity will contribute to the emergence of interesting ideas and promising initiatives,” emphasized Vladimir Putin.
In 2024, the “Mashuk” forum was recognized as the winner in the “Event of the Year” category of the national youth achievements award “Time of the Young,” and in 2025 it became a nominee for the award.
“The work of educators and mentors is a true calling that involves constant professional development, acquiring new knowledge and skills. The national project ‘Youth and Children’ helps to create conditions for this. The ‘Mashuk’ forum is exactly such a unique platform that allows for the training of management, pedagogical, and scientific personnel. I am confident that, thanks to this forum, all 2,200 participants, including mentors who are veterans of the special military operation, will learn new methods and approaches, as well as be able to share experiences with colleagues in their regions,” said Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Chernyshenko.
The first session “Growing Up” (August 8–15) is dedicated to the discussion of educational and nurturing programs. Participants of the session will present eight thematic areas: “Teachers,” “Flagships,” “Counselors,” “Guides,” “Navigators,” “Educators,” “Defenders” (for participants and veterans of the special military operation, as well as additional education teachers, club leaders, and organizers of patriotic clubs), and “Change Agents” (the program of this area is implemented at the Mashuk Knowledge Center). The second session “Unity” (August 15–22) will focus on finding unifying meanings and working with cultural diversity.
“The teaching profession in our country has acquired new meanings and status, and more and more young people are linking their future with the education system. Teachers receive strong support, additional benefits, opportunities for professional development, including at the year-round ‘Mashuk’ center, where the namesake forum takes place. Over 17 years, the forum has become one of the largest all-Russian educational platforms. This year, we received applications from teachers and mentors from 89 regions of Russia and 77 countries worldwide – all those whose calling is to teach. But the main thing is the qualitative renewal of the program content. The overarching themes of the forum are the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, support for the veterans of the special military operation, and strengthening family values. It is precisely at ‘Mashuk’ that experts in the field of education, together with specialists, will design methodologies for multinational education, working with meanings, and the integration of artificial intelligence into the education and upbringing system. Thanks to this, students will find school more interesting, and the results of this education will be higher,” emphasized the head of Rosmolodezh, Grigory Gurov.
The “Unity” club will focus on developing the methodology for the “Unity of the Peoples of Russia” events. Participants of the “Person in Education” club will work on a methodology to engage young teachers in understanding science and the essence of pedagogy. The “Future” club will determine ways to technologize work with meanings, including the use of artificial intelligence in educational activities, and will prepare a range of projects for the forum’s thematic partners.
“Stavropol is welcoming participants of the ‘Mashuk’ forum for the 17th time. Every year we see new ideas being born on the Komsomolskaya glade, professional connections forming, and most importantly, the strengthening of that very sense of community that unites people from different parts of the country. In the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia, our forum takes on a special meaning. Stavropol has always been a territory of peace and harmony: more than a hundred nationalities live side by side here, and we know how to respect each other and work together towards common goals. This is exactly what we want to convey to the participants. I am confident that everyone who came to ‘Mashuk’ will feel this atmosphere, find like-minded people here, and gain inspiration for new achievements. I wish everyone productive work, bright discoveries, and warm meetings on our hospitable Stavropol land,” said the governor of the Stavropol region, Vladimir Vladimirov.
The director of the All-Russian Youth Forum “Mashuk”, Ivan Paltsev, emphasized that “Mashuk” has reached a qualitatively new level this year.
“17 years is an age when yesterday’s ideas become tradition, and tradition becomes the foundation for a new leap. Over these years, ‘Mashuk’ has gathered more than 40 thousand graduates, and each of them is part of the large Mashuk family. I am confident that the current forum will once again become a starting point for new educational destinies and projects that will change the education system in the country,” said Ivan Paltsev.
As part of the educational program of the first session, there will be introductory sessions, lectures by leading experts in pedagogy and psychology, “Lessons on Important Topics” with invited speakers, group work on key forum products, open lessons, and master classes. Participants will be able to present their educational and mentoring practices, and at the end of the session, with the support of the Stavropol Krai Election Commission, a vote will be held for the best practices.
Among the forum participants is Marina Volskaya, the head of the youth center “Perspektiva” from Vladimir. Her project was included in the federal registry of best practices for helping children and families with children and received a grant from the Fund for Supporting Children in Difficult Life Situations. She came to “Mashuk” to present the opening of the center and to exchange experiences with colleagues.
“I applied for the forum thanks to a message from the federal adolescent center of Russia stating that our project ‘Perspective’ was included in the federal register of best practices for assisting children and families with children. Therefore, the goal of my trip is to present the opening of the adolescent center ‘Perspective,’ which received a grant from the Fund for Supporting Children in Difficult Life Situations. I want to talk about how the project was implemented and how it is currently operating. It is also interesting to listen to other forum participants, learn about their vision of working with children and adolescents, draw something from their experience, and share about our own,” noted Maria Volskaya.
Traditionally, the “Rosmolodezh.Grants” competition will be held at the forum. Participants will be able to present their project initiatives and receive support of up to 1.5 million rubles. This year, 18 nominations have been announced, covering a wide range of socially significant topics.
The practical program of the forum’s first session will include visits to schools and kindergartens in Pyatigorsk and Zheleznovodsk, a visit to the Pyatigorsk city public organization of parents of disabled children “Warmth of Hearts,” a meeting with teachers and advisors of the city of Pyatigorsk, a blood donation campaign, as well as an open session of the historical-patriotic club “Rivers of Time” at the museum complex “Russia – My History.” An excursion program is also planned for forum participants: trips to the resort city of Pyatigorsk with visits to the main attractions, as well as a climb to Mount Mashuk.
The organizers of the All-Russian Youth Forum “Mashuk” are the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and the government of the Stavropol Krai. The main partner is the “Mashuk” Knowledge Center.
