Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting dedicated to issues of improving the effectiveness of government support measures for the development of rural areas and agglomerations. The meeting was attended by heads of departments responsible for implementing various activities and infrastructure projects in such territories. The Vice Premier reminded that the President of Russia has set the task to increase the efficiency of the relevant government support measures.
“The population of our rural areas and agglomerations exceeds 50 million people. Since 2020, the Russian Ministry of Agriculture has been implementing a state program for the development of rural territories. Its activities have already covered 17 million people. In May of this year, the President of Russia set the task to synchronize the measures of all state programs involving projects in rural areas with the Ministry of Agriculture’s state program. This will increase the effectiveness of support measures,” noted Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev.
The participants of the meeting discussed approaches that would allow achieving the goal, as well as ensuring the synchrony and comprehensiveness of the implemented measures. A report on the joint strategy of actions for the further development of rural areas will be presented to the head of state.
