SuperJob presented ranking of Russian universities in terms of the salary levels of young specialists employed in the chemical industry and pharmaceuticals who graduated from universities in 2020–2025. Novosibirsk State University ranked fourth in the rating with a median graduate salary of 175 thousand rubles. Among other universities that made it into the top 5 ranking are Lomonosov Moscow State University, MIPT, Saint Petersburg State University, Mendeleev Russian Chemical Technology University, TPU, MEPhI, MEI, and ITMO.

The Faculty of Natural Sciences (FEN) is the first faculty established at Novosibirsk State University. The educational program at FEN includes a large volume of physics and mathematics disciplines, which allows NSU students to easily understand related interdisciplinary projects involving chemistry, mathematics, and physics. Therefore, NSU graduates are versatile specialists in demand across various industries.

Another important point: during their studies, students receive fundamental training in all major areas of chemistry, as well as practical knowledge through extensive practical sessions, which allows them to become familiar with and master the basics of experimental work in various chemical sciences.

NSU is one of the leading universities in Russia in the field of “Chemistry.” Thus, in the RAEX subject ranking In this discipline, we rank 4th. Students come to the Faculty of Electronics and Computer Engineering from all over Russia: the share of non-local students here is the largest at NSU — exceeding 75%., — he commented Dmitry Pyshny, rector of NSU, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

At NSU, more than 80% of the faculty are scientists from the research institutes of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Thanks to this, students begin internships from their first years and later complete their theses in scientific laboratories within research institutes, working on current problems of modern chemistry and often operating at the forefront of research in this field.

This experience is substantial and includes not only daily work for one to two years in the laboratory, but also the development of skills in searching for and processing primary literature data. In addition, they receive specialized knowledge directly from instructors who are engaged in practical work in the field of this specialization., — commented Vasily Romanov, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences at NSU.

The high level of training at NSU is confirmed by the results of competitions: NSU students won two gold and two silver medals IV International Chemistry Olympiad, which took place in Ashgabat in October 2025. Also, NSU students annually become prize-winners of the “I am a Professional” olympiad in the field of “Chemistry”.

Rating methodology:

The rating was prepared by the SuperJob research center based on the analysis of incomes of graduates from Russian universities for the years 2020–2025. The study includes universities with specialized chemical, chemical-technological, engineering-chemical, and pharmaceutical training programs. The information source used is the SuperJob resume database (50+ million resumes) and other open sources. The data collection period is 2 months prior to the rating release date. The sample for each university participant in the rating includes at least 70 resumes of graduates from specialized faculties of the specified graduation years, excluding resumes of interns, junior specialists, and candidates with less than 1 year of work experience in the specialty.
