Beijing, August 5 /Xinhua/ — The Ministry of Commerce of China announced on Wednesday a decision to take retaliatory measures against six American organizations, including Applied DNA Sciences.
These countermeasures, which came into effect on Wednesday, were adopted in response to the US sanctions against Chinese companies under the pretext of so-called “forced labor,” the agency’s statement said.
The actions of the United States seriously violate international law and fundamental norms of international relations, as well as undermine the sovereignty, security, and development interests of China, the ministry stated.
